Maison Objet 2023: A Joyful Escape

Maison Objet 2023: A Joyful Escape

1

For those who know us well, there’s one back-to-school event we can’t miss… Here at Signature, September is always marked by a visit to Porte de Villepinte for an inspiring dive into the world of decor, design, and lifestyle at the Maison Objet fair. Whilst the previous edition focused on CARE, emphasising the importance of recentering, creating a cocoon, and reconnecting, this year, we take care of ourselves differently: by infusing colour, joy, and amusement into our lives! The keyword? ENJOY. The opportunity for our team to get inspired…
Here’s a glimpse

Work Work Work

As a true incubator and revealer of lifestyle trends, the Maison Objet fair is also an amazing opportunity to attend numerous conferences with experts from various fields. The topic that caught our attention this year : workplace design.

The ENJOY mantra has the power to extend beyond the individual level, to influence companies and collective living spaces. Today, the codes have changed. Gone are all the long hours spent in open spaces sitting on the same chair and the endless rows of dull, soulless desks. Welcome to hybrid, customisable, and joyful workspaces! Ever since the pandemic and the era of remote work, many active people want to separate private and professional spheres better. Therefore, we adapt not only our work methods but also, and especially, our spaces.

What solutions can be provided to adapt to all work modes?

We create the desire to return, meet everyone’s needs, and innovate, all in order to attract. The workplace must reveal itself through its spaces and embody its values concretely. The workplace becomes a destination in itself, offering various services (sometimes worthy of the hospitality industry: gyms, childcare…) To start, we need to imagine complementary spaces, balancing shared times and moments of concentration: coffee corners, outdoor gardens or terraces, accessible kitchens, ergonomic furniture, round sofas to encourage face-to-face interactions…

2024 will be marked by sharing and better living, shaping spaces imbued with each company’s uniqueness. If you’re not convinced, the numbers speak for themselves: 39% of the French population consider the workplace as a decision criteria during their interview… (Baromètre Actineo de la qualité de vie au travail – June 2023).

Green is the new black

Leaving professional spaces behind, let’s return to our beautiful interiors. After a few minutes of wandering, one thing is clear: MO’s decor palette has been revamped! No more terracotta, ochre, clay colours, and nude tones…

Welcome green! Pine, olive, jade, eucalyptus… a whole range of soothing and harmonious shades. A smooth transition from CARE to ENJOY, letting a bit of nature and colour into our homes. For a bolder look, pair it with a leopard print (cushions, rugs, curtains…).

If green isn’t your cup of tea , you can always bet on an explosion of colours! ENJOY vibes with energy and optimism. We engage and assert ourselves. Why not dare and be bold in 2024?

And it Goes SHEBAM! POW! BLOP! WIZZ!

A new post-minimalism chapter is being written. Geometric shapes and patterns are in the spotlight. Curves are playful. Colours explode. It’s time for freedom, creativity, and expressing individuality!

Everything goes, from everyday objects like Qwetch’s thermal lunch box to the centrepiece of your living room, like the special edition Ligne Roset sofa in collaboration with Pierre Frey. We break new grounds and completely rethink our interiors. This is the approach of the French collective Uchronia and their Wave table.

The dream decor piece you’ve always wanted but never found? Print it in 3D! Always in shape and colour, like Warren Laetitia’s Gigi Lamp. Another strong trend for this edition, emerging as a new form of highly creative craftsmanship, combining upcycling and innovation!

We’ve also seen chrome make a comeback, explored the ever-playful universe of children’s decor, and admired Sits’,our client… and we can’t wait to see all these trends come to life in 2024!

Until then, we wonder who amongst you will actually dare embrace the ultra-colorful trend…

Option 1: I didn’t wait for 2024 to add colour to my life.
Option 2 : Well yes…but no! Hygge is my passion.
Option 3 : And after all, why not! Long live curves, shapes, patterns, and colours!
